We’re excited to share that the 27th annual
Boston Fashion Week will be an AR experience!
For those of you who may not be familiar with it, augmented reality is a technology that superimposes a computer-generated image on a user's view of the real world, thus providing a composite view.
And thanks to the HOVERLAY app anyone with a smartphone can easily unlock fashion content throughout the city.
Boston Fashion Week’s city-wide AR fashion exhibit will be the first public art installation of its kind. Making seven days of fashion content accessible to all.
It will feature work from regional fashion designers, accessory designers, photographers, illustrators, textile artists, fashion schools, historical fashion archives, stylists, hairstylists, makeup artists, models, and more!
In addition to the AR experience, a few designers are hosting safe in-person events throughout the schedule. Boston Fashion Week will also include exciting online content to round out this year’s celebration of Boston style.

Download the Hoverlay app. It’s easy and it’s free!
A selection of fashion content will be part of a drop each day of Boston Fashion Week.
You’ll find out what the content is and where you can find it.
Can’t get there that day? No worries.
Once content drops it will be up for 1-2 weeks.
Check it out on your way to work,
or plan to meet friends for a mini #fashmob.
Take pictures or shoot videos in the app!
You can dress up and interact with the fashion content.
