styleMAKERS!

the runway, an impressive and very dedicated army of models, makeup
artists, hair stylists, producers, stylists, and dressers are working
behind the scenes to ensure a seamless production for the public and the
press. Some of the most interesting and exciting
people in the fashion industry are those working behind the scenes.
We're really looking forward to an opportunity to celebrate these
styleMAKERS as we gear up for Boston Fashion Week! Mix and mingle with the fashion insiders
who make it all happen!

Beauty as Duty:
Textiles and the Home Front
This exhibition looks at ways that
textiles were put into service on Britain’s Home Front in the
1940s. During a decade of extreme hardship, rationing and
deprivation in Britain, beauty (in measured amounts)
was not frivolous, it was a patriotic duty.
