Meet Bethany Van Delft. Bethany has graced
many of Boston's fashion runways as a model extraordinaire over the
years. Everyone knows she's funny, but what some who know her through
the fashion industry might not know is that she is a comedienne on the
verge of greatness, or at least a sitcom deal. She'll be sharing her
model musings all through Boston Fashion Week.
Words of Wisdom
One time I was working
at a prestigious department store with 2 others models. The department
manager was pulling outfits for us to walk around the store smiling and
spinning at unsuspecting customers in. Although we told her we all wore
size 4, she kept pulling 8s, 10s, 12s. She pulled a gorgeous Burberry Prorsum dress that I died just thinking about wearing, and said
"Anyone
want to wear this?" "YESSS!" I yelled, "What size is it?" "12," she
answered. I asked, "Did you want all 3 of us to get into that?" "That is
rude!" she snapped, "I wear a 12!" "No, no, no!!" I wailed, "It's a math
joke! You know, like division? Three 4s go into a 12... or a bar... it's
funny... um... I'm sorry... "I trailed off. She put back the 12, threw a 4 at
me, and said "Math is not funny." And you know what? She was right, at
least in the fashion world. I still think it would have killed at MIT.

available for purchase at $30 per person. Each day the sale of tickets
